Product Owner role in Horsham

  • 20 hours per week
  • £22,000-£25,000 depending on experience

Our Software client in Horsham is looking to recruit a Product Owner who will take on a critical role in projects and will sit in a pivotal position between the customer and development team.  The Product Owner will be responsible for defining the requirements and the make-up of projects, assigning budgets and prioritising requirements.  It will be their responsibility to act as as the customer’s representative and fully understand what they really want.  The Product Owner will ideally excel in leading discussions, negotiating, brainstorming, condensing ideas into deliverable areas of functionality and defining success-acceptance criteria.

The Product Owner will need to collaborate with internal teams throughout the development process and have a sufficiently technical background to engage and explain technical issues that impact delivery of business requirements.  In this role, The Product Owner may need to manage often competing priorities and still ensure that projects progress and products are deliverable.

The successful Product Owner will need to demonstrate their skills and experience in some or all of the following:

  • Theoretical and practical experience of the Scrum agile development framework
  • Customer facing roles
  • Budgetary decision making
  • Project management
  • Product development and delivery
  • Prioritising and scheduling
  • Leading and working with teams
  • Previous experience of the Product Owner role
  • Account management
  • Gathering and documenting requirements
